About My Paintings…

The paintings on this page were based on works by some of the great pin-up artists of the 40's, 50, and 60's.
By far, Alberto Vargas is my favorite artist of this genre. I have studied his work and strive to adhere to his techniques down to using the same brands of paints and pencils that he used. I do not however use an airbrush for finishing touches as he did.

I have a little guilt about not producing more original pieces, but I do these mostly for the indescribable rewarding experience of painting.
